We buy directly from a network of over 300 Indonesian artists to bring you the one-of-a-kind, handmade pieces you will see in our store. These artists are from the islands of Bali, Java and Lombok in Central Indonesia. They earn their living by creating handcrafted gifts and home decor from all-natural materials.

When you buy from Pieces of Paradise, you’re helping support our network of artists and put money directly into the hands of the artists instead of factory workers. We bring their products to Winnipeg to expand their market and increase their income.

We work with artists who are independent, in groups or family operated. Buying directly from the artists means that the artists earn fair wages to support themselves and their families. The artists recycle materials and use renewable sources for their raw materials.

Pieces of Paradise also offers interest free loans to artists. We pay them what they need to pay for the materials required to fill the order or hire additional help so they aren’t paying out of their own pocket and the rest is paid when the product is ready.
