During a month-long trip to Bali with friends, Rick Boily met a talented Indonesian artist, Van Randy.

Through his friendship with Van Randy, Rick has established connections with a large number of artists.

Rick’s love for Indonesian culture and desire to expand the market of the talented artists encouraged him to bring beautiful fair trade products to Winnipeg for others to appreciate. In 2006, Pieces of Paradise emerged.

Rick takes annual trips to Indonesia to personally meet the artists and select pieces for the store. His local friends keep him in contact with the artists year round.
